What is Booklings Crate?
We are a book subscription box, featuring newly released books and bookish merchandise curated in a box at very affordable rates.
What kind of books do we provide?
Our genres include Young Adult Fiction, Adult Fiction, Mystery, Thriller, Romance, Contemporary Fiction, Historical Fiction, and sometimes even non fiction. We provide you only the best books which are releasing in that particular month from different Publishing houses including UK and US.
What does your box contain?
Every box contains books as per your plan plus 4-7 high quality quirky bookish merchandise related to books, designer items and much more. We tie up with many small scale businesses to bring you some of great goodies at very affordable prices.

What are the different types of Subscription Plans?
We have four different plans
- Three Book Box – It contains three books and 4-7 merchandise. Best meant for users who are avid readers, as it allows you to complete 36 books in a year (wow!)
- Two Book Box– Contains two books and 4-7 merchandise.
- One Book Box – Contains one book and 4-7 merchandise. If you are new to Booklings Crate, we suggest you to opt this plan.
- Book Only Box – This plan is mainly for hardcore readers. This plan will contain only books and no merchandise. Prices will vary per month based on book prices.
How are the books selected?
From the early manuscripts of the books to the ARCs (Advance Readers Copy), publishers and authors keep on sending us books. We read them all and go with only the best books that would be loved by you all.
How much does the subscription plan cost?
One / Two / Three Book Boxes will have the same merchandise. If you are new to Booklings Crate, we suggest you go for One Book Box.
I am confused as to which plan to take?
Ah, don’t worry! We would suggest that you go with One Book Box. If you have further queries you can always contact us. Contact details are mentioned on top of the page.
What are the payment modes supported?
We accept online payments via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI and PayTm/Other wallets. You can choose your payment at the time of booking the box.
Do you accept Cash On Delivery?
We allow a % of advance payment at the time of booking and the balance via COD.
Advance Payment will be given (usually it is 30% for subscription boxes, 40% for Fandom boxes) for Monthly Book Boxes or for Fandom Boxes. There will be additional cost of Cash Handling Charges which are charged by the courier companies.
For any purchase from Merchandise Store or Book Store, no part payment/COD facility is provided as for now. We will support it in the future.
When are the boxes shipped?
Our shipping dates are between 25-30th of every next month. For example, if you have opted for November Box, it will be shipped by 25-30th of December.
Boxes are shipped in batches. Priority shipping boxes are shipped first.
Why long waiting time for the box?
Good books and good food takes time. Most of our books get imported from UK/US and that is where there is a time lag. The usual shipping time is 30 days + Customs Check (additional 8-10 working days) + Shipping time from Publisher’s warehouse to our warehouse (additional 5-10 days).
All these adds to the time. But we will guarantee that once you get the box, you will definitely love it.
How long does it take to get the box delivered?
It usually takes around 1-8 working days for the box to get delivered. Boxes to Metro cities are usually delivered in 1-2 days. The speed of delivery lies in the hands of our Courier partner.
Sometimes, delay in delivery can also happen due to logistics challenges, country/state political challenges, or due to any natural calamities.
How would I know when the box is shipped?
Once shipped, the Courier partner will send out the Tracking number details over email and SMS. You can then track your order from the Courier partner’s website. Certain courier partners will also send out SMS at the time of ‘Out of Delivery’.
For any India Post Registered Parcel couriers, tracking details will be sent individually by us over the email address provided.
What is the difference between Priority shipping and Free shipping
If you have selected
- Priority Shipping – Your box will be shipped the very next day (or on that day when as we start sending boxes for that month) with our premium courier partner, who will deliver it to you within a working day or two (for metro cities) and within 2-4 working days (for non metro cities except North East and J&K. North East and J&K delivery usually takes around 2-5 working days by our Courier partner). The Priority shipping cost will be added to your total cart value.
- Free Shipping – Your box will be shipped in batches along with other boxes and the delivery can take anywhere between 3-8 working days. (North East and J&K – nominal charges will be added)
What if I am unable to accept the box when the courier guy comes to deliver?
At the time of delivering your box, Courier partner will make maximum 2 reattempts for delivery at your given address, if at the first attempt the courier was not delivered to you. After total 3 attempts, the courier will be kept at the nearest Courier Partner’s office for a period of 3-5 working days, after which it gets returned back to us.
To ship back to us, they charge us anywhere between Rs. 150/- to Rs. 300/- which itself is a big percentage considering the box value. Plus additional shipping charges will be levied for shipping it back to you second time. This amount is almost the same as above amount. This is called as Reverse Shipping. Invariably, reverse shipping means 2x shipping cost gets added extra. Ouch! this hurts both of us. And we always hope that you get your box at the very first delivery attempt itself.
Hence plan your day accordingly so that you get your box delivered at your address for a hassle free experience. Also make sure you phone is switched on and you accept calls from all callers that day.
The payment was unsuccessful, but the money got debited from my account
Relax! Your money is safe. This can happen due to technical reasons anywhere in the payment chain (which is from your bank to my bank).
Wait for 12 hours to see whether your order status is getting updated or not. If your order status is coming cancelled, it means that your bank did not send the money to us. In this case your money will be credited back to your account by your bank in 4-7 working days time. If after this time you do not receive the money, drop us an email. On a high priority basis, we will talk to the Payment partner and get it investigated.
If your bank sends the money to our bank, then automatically the order status will be updated to ‘Processing‘ and you will get an email from us confirming your order.
